Where is Seymour located?
Seymour has two locations- Vancouver and Richmond
Seymour Health is located in Vancouver at:
1770 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6J 4Y6
The clinic is located on the North East corner of West 7th Avenue and Burrard Street. Seymour is on both the second and third floors of the building. To find which floor your doctor is on, click here for the clinic directory.
Seymour Health is located in Richmond at:
10551 ShellBridge Way Unit 90, Richmond, BC V6X 2W8
Where can I park when I come for my appointment in Vancouver?
Street parking is available nearby, and our building has underground pay parking available (enter the parkade from the lane between 7th and 8th Avenues (south side, behind the building).
Please allow a little extra time to find parking before your appointment.
Where can I park when I come for my appointment in Richmond?
Street parking is available nearby, and we have 3 hours free parking for patients in front of the building lot.
What are the clinic hours?
Seymour Health in Vancouver is open:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Subject to availability)
- Sunday: Closed
- Statutory Holidays: Closed
Seymour Health in Richmond is open:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
- Statutory Holidays: Closed
Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?
Yes, our clinics are fully wheelchair accessible. If you need additional assistance, please let us know when booking.
The Vancouver entrance for the wheelchair ramp is on Burrard Street.
How do I book an appointment?
Appointments are available for registered Seymour Health patients.
Your most convenient option is to book your appointment online with your provider by clicking here.
If you are having challenges and require assistance you may also phone the clinic to book an appointment.
Does Seymour offer virtual (telehealth) appointments?
Yes! We offer convenient virtual visits for:
- Primary care consultations
- Follow-ups
- Prescription renewals (narcotics cannot be prescribed over the phone)
- Reviewing lab or imaging results
You can attend from most phones, tablets, or computers with internet access.
Can I complete forms before my appointment?
If forms are required for your visit, you may be asked to complete them online ahead of time. This helps reduce waiting and gives your provider more time to focus on you.
What should I bring to my appointment?
To help your visit go smoothly, please bring:
- Your BC Services Card / provincial health card
- A list of your medications (or the bottles themselves)
- Any relevant test results, forms, or referral letters
- Glasses, hearing aids, or mobility aids if you use them
How early should I arrive for my scheduled appointment?
Please arrive about 10–15 minutes early to check in and get settled.
How do I check in when I arrive?
We are pleased to inform you that we have implemented self serve check in kioks at our Vancouver location. On arrival at the clinic, please use the kiosks (located just inside the entrance) to check in for your appointment. The kiosks enable you to check-in (30 minutes prior) for your appointment and confirm your contact information. Once you have checked in on the kiosk, please have a seat in the waiting room and keep an eye on the TVs which will direct you to your provider’s exam room.
What if I arrive late for my appointment?
We greatly appreciate your punctuality but we understand being late can be unexpected. However, to keep on schedule, your family doctor or nurse practitioner will proceed to the next patient and, if possible, fit you back in when there is an open appointment or reschedule when necessary.
Does Seymour accept walk-ins?
- All visits are by appointment.
- The only exception is our seasonal flu-shot clinic.

What is the Rapid Access Clinic?
If your regular provider isn’t available and you have an urgent (non-emergency) issue, our Rapid Access Clinic may be able to help. Please note that Rapid Access appointments are subject to physician availability.
Rapid Access appointments are available to:
- Patients who are attached to a family doctor or nurse practitioner at Seymour Health, or
- Patients without a family doctor in BC who have been seen by a Seymour Health Rapid Access physician within the last three years, based on their most recent visit date.
You are not eligible to use the Rapid Access Clinic if:
- You have a family doctor or nurse practitioner outside of Seymour Health, even if you previously used our walk-in clinic, or
- You do not meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.
Rapid Access Hours of Operation
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
- Saturday: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm (Subject to availability)
- Closed on Statutory Holidays.

How do I change or cancel my appointment?
We cannot change or book appointments by email for privacy reasons. Please call the clinic.
The phone line is busy when I call - what should I do?
We know it can get frustrating when lines are busy. You can:
- Book online if you’re trying to schedule an appointment
- Call us back later

What is Seymour’s appointment cancellation policy?
We understand that plans change, but if you have to cancel your appointment we ask that you give us as much advance notice as possible:
- Please give 24 hours notice to cancel regular appointments.
- Late cancellations/no-shows will incur a $97.20 fee ($150 for longer visits)
- Specialist appointments require 48 hours notice.
- Late cancellations will incur a $150 fee
Repeated missed appointments may limit future booking privileges.
Can I email my doctor?
To protect your privacy, we do not communicate medical information by email. Please use appointments or approved secure channels instead.
I haven’t received my test results — what should I do?
Please book an appointment to review your results once your tests are complete or once you know your appointment date is for test.
Typical timelines for the clinic to receive the results:
- Bloodwork: about 1 week
- Imaging or biopsies: 2–4 weeks
Booking ensures nothing gets missed.
What if I need care when the clinic is closed?
If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
For non-urgent concerns:
- Call the BC Nurse Line: 811 or 604-215-4700
- Go to your nearest Urgent Primary Care Centre
- You may also call our clinic number at 604-738-2151 for after-hours guidance
How do I request medication refills or specialist referrals?
Please book an appointment – these cannot be handled by phone or fax.
For medication refills we recommend booking 2 – 4 weeks before your medication runs out.
Are all services covered by MSP?
Most medically necessary services are covered, however some services are not, including:
- Forms, letters, and notes
- Travel consultations and some vaccines
- Driver’s or employment physicals
- Cosmetic procedures
- Medical record transfers
Please notify us when booking or when you are unsure about any procedure or paperwork you need filled out. Fees will be explained in advance.
Do I need a follow-up appointment for test results?
Yes, booking a follow-up appointment ensures your results are reviewed and discussed with you.
Do I need to see my provider regularly to remain a patient?
Patients who have not had an appointment at Seymour in over three years may become inactive at the provider’s discretion.
How is my privacy protected?
Your personal health information is handled according to strict privacy laws. Only authorized personnel can access your records.
How can I access my medical records?
You may request copies or transfers of your medical records by contacting the clinic. Fees may apply. You cannot use your medical records for insurance and lawyers purposes.
My doctor is moving their practice to another clinic. Can I be switched over to another doctor in the clinic because of location?
We cannot accommodate your request at our clinic as our clinic does not offer internal patient transfers.
I am not getting along with my doctor. Can I switch doctors in the clinic?
We cannot accommodate your request at our clinic as our clinic does not offer internal patient transfers.
Is Seymour Health accepting new patients?

I’m new to BC (British Columbia). How do I apply for Provincial coverage?
You can apply for BC Medical after arriving from another province after a 3 month waiting period. If you need to see a doctor within that period, you should be covered under previous provinces plan.
Please call 811 or visit www.health.gov.bc.ca/msp for more information on how to apply for Health Insurance in BC.
I’m not from BC. Do I have to pay?
You will be charged and we will provide you with an invoice where you can apply for reimbursement from your provincial health plan. Please keep in mind that some services may not be covered by your provincial plan.
I’m not from Canada. Do I have to pay?
Yes, there are fees to see the doctor if you are not from Canada. The initial consultation fee varies starting at $120. Should you need x-rays or lab work or any other testing, there will be fees billed to you through the respective facility. There may also be further fees involved should you need another visit and care after the initial visit.
I’m Canadian but do not have MSP coverage. Do I have to pay?
Yes, there is a consultation fee of $120 billed to Canadian citizens who do have any provincial health plan. You must also be aware that you will also have to pay for any tests ordered by the doctor.
Does Seymour provide travel vaccine requests?
No, Seymour Health providers do not provide travel vaccine advise. Please visit your nearest travel vaccine clinic.
